For December 1st-24th (and possibly a Christmas day bonus), I’ll be posting an art-related blog post every day. If you visit my blog during this time, let me reassure you that I’m not just an art blog. I do all the crafts. You can look through my archives, or stay tuned for future posts, to see the other crafty things I get up to.

Long before I decided I liked to draw and colour my own pieces, I was a colouring book addict. I was into adult colouring books before they were a thing. I’ve always had a few, but when they did start to become more mainstream they also became more available. For a hoarder like me that is both a good thing and a bad thing.
I currently have 54 books. A few months ago I did a bit of a purge, and before that I had over 100. I get more books every so often, when there’s one I really like and I have a spare bit of money. And I often get one or two for my birthday, and for Christmas.
But with all the art and stuff I’ve been doing, I haven’t been colouring so much. Until today. On Saturday my friends were over for board games and Cayden (he who has been mentioned many times) was colouring a page in a Christmas colouring book with his Ohuhu alcohol markers. The idea niggled in my head for a day or two, until I had to dig out one of my Christmas themed books. And I did this…
It’s from The Garden Gnomes’ Christmas by J B Johnson, and it’s part of a series of really cute books. I have one or two more on my wishlist.
I’m super happy with the stones around the fire. The flames could use some work, I’ll have to do some research into that, but I love the stones.
